Bear Book Bundle Details

All your books in one bundle.

Bear Book Bundle is our new all-encompassing, affordable textbook rental program that will provide undergraduate students with all required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes and electronic book versions during Fall and Spring semesters.  The average student is estimated to save 35 to 50% on textbooks for a semester. All undergraduate students will be automatically enrolled.

The cost is $ 27 per credit hour.

The Bear Book Bundle program fee will be added to the charges shown on your Mercer Student Account. Just like other charges, it can be paid by financial aid or be paid for out of pocket. If you enroll in a payment plan, this charge will be included in the payment plan calculations. Supplies are not included in this program and will need to be purchased separately.

Accessible Format

Accessible Format Textbooks are available for students with disabilities. Eligibility and requests are handled by Access and Accommodations Services for Students with Disabilities.

Course Changes

If you change courses, revisit the email link to verify changes and select your delivery method. Or, visit us in stores, bringing any course material no longer needed to exchange for new material.

Purchase Your Rental

The program provides you with the option to purchase textbooks at a reduced rate during the return period.


The deadline to return all rental textbooks is the last day of finals. Students will receive email reminders about the rental deadline to their email address. Books can be returned to the Bookstore on the Macon or Atlanta campus. Books must be returned to the campus in which they were received. 

Continuation Courses

Your rental will be extended for the next semester of the continuation course.  If you elect to opt out of the Bear Book Bundle for the second term of a continuation course, you will be required to purchase or make other rental arrangements with the campus bookstore.

Failure to Return

A  hold will be placed on your student account and you will be ineligible to register for classes, request transcripts, or graduate. Payment for material can be made in person to Auxiliary Services on the Macon or Atlanta campus.

Excluded Materials

Supplies that cannot be returned and reused such as lab goggles, dissection kits, molecular model kids, engineering kits or nursing kits.

How It Works

Register for your courses

Upon registering for courses, undergraduate students will be automatically enrolled into the program. Once you've successfully selected your courses, the bookstore will start preparing your order. Your student account will be charged a flat-rate fee each semester. 

Verify your order

One month before classes start, you will receive an email to your Mercer email instructing you to confirm your schedule and select your delivery preference (in-store pick up or shipped directly to you). The email will be from

Receive your books

An email notification will be sent when your order is ready for pickup or when it ships. Your digital materials will be delivered for your course(s) within our learning management system “Canvas”.
